This is my 2nd order via grubhub. Ordered pad Thai with shrimp and it was bland overall with a vinegar after taste. It was not good at all. Satay was ok. Ordered via grubhub and came to pick up during the window of time I was given - and after arriving they told me there was a question on my order and they were too busy to call me to clarify it so they never put the order in. I had to wait another 25 minutes in the restaurant for my order. Between this service and the taste of the food - I will find somewhere else to go to.

Nice small family owned Thai restaurant. The food is consistently good and the servers are friendly. The place is a little out-dated, which is why I can't give 5 stars, but it's still great food.

It was okay... I had the pad thai which was just alright. I wasn't wowed or anything. The service was lacking energy and active attention. If you live in the area and want some thai, go for it. Don't make a whole long trip, though.

The food is great, especially the Vietnamese rolls and the Pad Thai. My wife and I have been here many times and the food is always good. As other reviewers have said the service is spotty. Some days the service is all you could ask for and some days you have to step up and demand service in order to get it. I would really give them 5 stars for the food and 2 stars for the service.

Food is incredible and portions just right! This place is our new favorite for Thai food. I love the seafood combo and husband raves about the mongolian beef! It's family owned and you get attentive albeit slow service. Eat here when you are not in a rush!

In the words of Yelp: Meh. I've experienced better. I've been here about 4 times now and the first 3 times were pretty good. Food was good, service was good, and the place was packed. The last time I came in was last Friday and I thought it was totally weird that it was completely empty for a Friday night. When we walked in, the hostess asked us if we had called in for a reservation (really?) but I think she was just kidding. We were the only ones there the whole time and just as we walked out, another couple walked in. I don't even think they had any carryout or delivery orders while we were there either. The food was pretty bland. The meat in our broccoli and beef was really chewy and just not good. The chicken satay wasn't as good as it usually was. Service was a bit slow. 2 stars because their crab rangoon is really good and the place has been better in the past but I don't think we'll be back... We shouldn't have cheated on our usual Thai place these past 4 times!

I am appalled at my dining experience at Rosded Too tonight. My family lives 10 mins away and have been regulars for the past few months until tonight. We enjoyed this restaurant for its descent food and byob...however the rude treatment we received tonight was just unacceptable. I hope the owner reads these reviews as he/she should be aware of the rude management running his/her business. First of all, my family was served a soup without any bowls. 10 mins later, my mother kindly asked the male manager working behind the counter for a few bowls. He replied rudely that they don't have any in a very nasty tone. My father then ordered a noodle with the substitution of wide noodles instead of thin, which he's done many times in the past dinning here. When the dish came out, it was thin noodles so we brought it to the manager's attention. The manager then grabbed a menu looking pissed off and came to our table in an almost yelling tone telling us there is NO WAY they have or will ever substitute our dish with wide noodles. He was extremely rude with a VERY bad attitude. By this time, we've all lost our appetite and just wanted to leave. I cannot believe how a restaurant can run under such unprofessional management. I've traveled all over for great food, and I have to say this was one of the worst diningexperiences I've ever had anywhere. My family and I definitely will not be returning.

Food is authentic Thai menu. I came here many years with discount and wihtout discount. If you want a great food without pre-cook from other Thai restaurant. Pls be patient. This restaurant is order to cook not pre-cook and heat up. I orders Thai crepe taking over 45 mins for my dish. Food is great authentic Thai food. Be nice to waitress.

The food is good! My favorites are the Pad Thai, salmon rolls, and spring rolls. Only complaint is they don't make it spicy on request, they give you the spices, it really isn't the same unless its cooked in. Also, the service has been lacking the last few times, waitstaff is short and spread thin.

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW: I just came back from here a few minutes ago and the overall dining experience was just horrid. It took over 30 minutes just to get our appetizers (crab rangoons). The waitress said "your soup will be right out" as she gave us the appetizers. The soup did not come right out. We got our entrees about 50 minutes after we ordered, and we asked for our soup again. She brought out one bowl of soup for my friend, and the soup was cold. My friend asked the rhetorical question "is soup supposed to be cold?", and as we all know, no, it is not. My entree had chicken in it, and the texture/taste of the chicken was similar to a McDonald's Grilled Chicken sandwich. So basically, it sucked complete ass. The only reason I ate it was because I was so damn hungry from waiting an hour for our entree/soup. I sincerely hope that something happened that morning that resulted in them being severely short staffed and unable to find anyone to help. That would be the only somewhat reasonable explanation to the terrible service we received, although that wouldn't explain the McDonald's paste chicken. That just has no explanation. In conclusion, this place sucks ass and I'm never coming back, although there's a very, very slight chance that I might order crab rangoons to go because those are just fucking delicious.

I have never wrote a review but I had to write one for Rosded Too. Amazing food for decent price. It's our third time here this week!! :-) some of our favorites are the pad thai, pad see ew, basil fried rice, vietamese spring rolls..and the list goes on! So happy we found this place. Definitely check it out!

TERRIBLE. NEVER GOING BACK! - wasn't acknowledged for the first 10-15 minutes. - had 2 waiters, a male & a female, both equally rude and seemingly "put out" that we were there. One even rolled their eyes when I asked for a lemon for my water...for the SECOND time. - Food took an unusually long time. There were only 3 small tables to wait, including ours. Noticed that after our order was rudely taken, waiter did not go straight to kitchento place our lunch order, but rather he proceded to count and stack silverware with napkins. - Waiters YELLED to each other across the tiny one-room restaurant. Every patron stopped and stared wondering why they were yelling. Very rude. - Food was sub par. Ordered the most classic Thai dish: Pad Thai. You can't screw that up, right? Wrong! My fiancé ordered the Thai Pepper Steak -- very bland. - Waited 10 minutes FOR A SMOOTHIE. - Waited ANOTHER 10 MINUTES for the check. Again, the place was dead. - Used a Groupon coupon - they clearly did not like that. Since it's a dine-in coupon, she completely refused to give me my smoothie in a to-go cup. Really?? After we were practically kept hostage for the painfully slow dine-in service? Wow. Looking for delicious Thai food and friendly service? Go to Lai Thai in Morton Grove on Dempster and Harlem!

Lunch the other day couldn't get much worse. 25 minutes later warm soup was served. 10 minutes afterwards, warm fresh spring rolls came out. 10 more minutes we were served our entrees which were first served to another table and picked over. We had all we could take and when we expressed our concerns the waitress said, " you go now.". We used to go at least once a month but I doubt we will return.

Last night (May 5) for dinner, must have been an "off" nite to say the least. One server, smiling, warm and attentive in the beginning. Took our orders down, tried to memorize them and 40 minutes later asked me what I ordered. For party of 4, we all got served at different times. It was pell mell. They forgot to serve the 4th person of our party and when they did the meat on the dish smelled rancid. By the way it was 1 hour and 15 minutes after the server took our order. She even admitted to us that the cook said it smelled rancid. No apologies from the waiter or management for the delay. Perhaps it is time for the Village of Morton Grove to pay them a visit. This restaurant was recommended to us, and the appetizers were great. The service was horrendous. I do not recommend this to anyone.

The best Thai in the 'burbs! The Monks drive in from the city to eat here! The staff always treat us like family. The food is always consistent. They do get very busy on the weekends so the earlier you can get in, the better. If you think you'll be in later, call your order in - in advance.

I must have offended the restaurant gods somewhere along the lines because I got dished up bad server karma galore today. I'd heard great things about this spot from people I work with. They offer a weekday lunch special for $6.95 which includes a soup, appetizer, and entree. There are about 10 different appetizers to choose from and about 15 different entrees - portions are generous and the menu is extensive so that's very nice. We headed here with a group of 8 during prime lunch rush. My mistake. There was only one server for the place and she was overwhelmed. I initially felt bad for her because our group was a little pokey in the ordering process, but then for the rest of our visit I felt like we were being punished. I noticed other tables that ordered after us got their soup... then their appetizer...then their entrees.... before we'd even gotten SOUP at our table! Now, I understand when you put in an order for 8 people it's going to take a while, but the soup/appetizers shouldn't. It was over half an hour from the time we ordered until anyone even got soup. SOUP!! When it finally came, everyone enjoyed their food, flavors were good & portions were nice although two of the entrees were served luke warm. Then came the bill debacle. I've never seen anything like it. I had asked for separate checks for the group (5 checks total) which she said was not a problem. Then when she finally put the check together it was all on one & she said something like "can't you just pay together"... So we tried to pay separately at the register (one portion on a credit card, then other people had cash). I'm not sure if the server didn't know how to use their computer system to split off a check or what the issue was, but what is normally a pretty painless procedure anywhere else turned into a full 30 minute process as I stood there trying to pay the bill. It was actually pretty unbelievable, I feel like I aged about two years. I think I would have been more understanding if she'd at least said "I'm really sorry, I don't know how to use the system, it's new... blah blah..." ANYTHING! But, she just seemed rather exasperated & wasn't particularly apologetic about the process at all. BOTTOM LINE: The lunch special is a good bargain and overall the food was good. The service was clearly the weakness and if I ever did go back, there is no way I'd return with a group of more than two. Sri Siam is another local place across the street that I'd probably visit first.

I will always love Rosded on Lincoln, so I was surprised to hear they branched out with a second restaurant and so my expectations were naturally high, because you've got a lot to live up to. Well, I'm happy to say that the food was delicious and I love the fried rice. To me, a place has to FIRST get the fried rice right, if you can't pass the basics what hope do you have? I was also surprised on the menu being wider and more diverse than the original Rosded as this one has some Japanese entrees as well. PLUS, the dessert selection is much more than the Lincoln one. I'm real happy that I have the option of treating at Rosded in town AND one in the suburbs, that's convenient for people who have a craving for good Thai food. It's also nice place if you want some peace and quite to relax and enjoy a tasty meal.

I don't get why people are giving them bad reviews. They aren't my favorite place in the world, but their food is really good! Their lime chicken is out of this world, and their beef satay is fantastic! The only dishes I would say weren't that great were their pad thai, and the orange chicken (I didn't expect orange chicken from a thai place to be that great anyways.) My one complaint is that they are a bit more expensive than some other thai places I go. Overall I'd say this is a great place, especially if you are looking for good lime chicken!

Every Thai restaurant has it's own specialty...Rosded Too makes a good pad thai, but this is not why I come here. I come here for the CATFISH. Spicy Basil Catfish!!!! Sweet savory succulent spicy supercalafragilisticexpealidocious!!! EVEN IF YOU HATE EATING FISH, try it...seriously. It's listed as "Catfish" on the menu. It's all about THE SAUCE. Let's face it, sauce can make it or break it. The sauce on the catfish is the bomb-diggity!!! Sometimes I ask for extra sauce. (It's the sweet basil sauce if they ask, not the effin' curry sauce) It's also good if you ask for lime wedges on the side to change up the taste a bit....so good!!! Another good choice is their "5-Star Chicken." It's a chicken dish w/ an array of vegetables and once again, a KICK-ASS sauce! You won't find these dishes tasting the same at ANY OTHER THAI restaurant...other than the original Rosded on Lincoln Avenue in Chicago. CATFISH!! CATFISH!!! CATFISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We returned a few months after our visit and the service was really terrible. I was looking forward to a Saturday date night with my husband, but was disappointed. While the food was still tasty, the service ruined the experience. They were pretty full when we arrived, but a table opened quickly. We were seated and the menus were tossed on the table. When we placed our orders the waitress rushed off without even a smile or a nod. When the food came, it was practically thrown down and I wasn't even able to ask for a fork. I had to wave someone down to get my utensils. And then I realized I had the wrong dish. When I finally got the waitress to come to the table she said I was given what I ordered. I know I didn't order pork - I don't eat pork - and yet that was what was on my plate. She reluctantly took my plate and eventually came back with the correct dish, but was obviously not happy about it. Don't think I'm coming back, but I may try take-out. The crab rangoon was still delicious!

I bought a Living Social deal for this place based on location (very close to home). The food is tasty, but portions are smaller than expected and service is uneven. My dining companion's dish came out at least ten minutes before mine; then two other tables got their food; then mine came out. Also, "a little bit spicy" is much spicier than I thought! I would try the other Thai places in the area before I would go back to this one, but it's not bad.

So, we've been living in MG for a while. Throughout the years this place has had about 80 name changes. Finally for the last couple years it's been Rosded Too. Great, because I'm tired of updating the contact info on my cell phone. We used to go to the original Rosded in Lincoln Square, and were excited to find out that they've expanded into the 'burbs, and literally within walking distance from us. It's not quite the same (it seems the sauces are a bit sweeter, which is ok by us). We've found that the food is pretty consistent and pretty reasonably priced. Portions are on the bigger side as well. They have a large menu selection but our favorites here include the "special" pad see eiw (which uses thinner noodles, rather than the thicker rice noodles), the regular pad see eiw, the green curry, the pad kee mow, the fried snapper and the pad thai. We've been here a bunch of times, including having birthday parties there. They are very accommodating and will restructure their small dining room for your needs. And it's a BYOB with no corkage fee, so that is another bonus. The one knock I would have with this place is the fact that service is generally slow. And I don't mean like a little slow, I mean like "Dang I think my hair grew a half inch since I've been here" kinda slow. It seems Rosded Too only has one person serving, packing carry out and hosting at any given time, and they need to fix that, pronto! I recommend if you come here that you expect to allow about an extra 30 min just to be safe. Even still, 4 stars for it being Thai food in Morton Grove.

I would like to give Rosded Too two reviews because its food is really great and the service is not. The service: I am giving this place only one star because of the service they are, most likely, going to be out of business soon. I call, no answer, I call again. I make the 10min drive to see what is going on. I stand inside the doorway and call from my cell. The phone rings, there is no one picking it up. Not sure what happened to the staff but there is one very angry man working all by himself. He takes a really long time to take orders and does NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. Yes, you have the correct phone #, but you are going to have to order online (i have yet to try this as it does not have the lunch special) or go in. The food: I have had a lot of Thai and Chinese food. I try egg rolls, pot stickers, and crab rangoon everywhere. I have to say that theirs are all good tasting! Their noodle dishes are not only good tasting but inexpensive and generous portions. The Chinese dishes are also good with white meat chicken. I highly recommend you try Rosded too. They even have great lunch specials. Try it before they go out of business!

Not quite Rosded. Needs to iron out some wrinkles with service and cuisine. Has a lot to live up to. Not very spicy or fresh yet.

I always order for pick up. The mixed vegetable with squid is my fave. I prefer their crab rangoon too. So far so good.

Went here to redeem some coupons I had. I went on two separate occasions and I felt both were decent experiences. Over the two times I went, I ordered the following: Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Pad See Ew, and Green Curry with Chicken. I thought all of the dishes tasted great, and came in large proportions. The only downside is that the wait is a bit long. The second time I went, the wait was less (maybe 10 minutes), but the first time it was perhaps 20 minutes. The food however, was definately fresh as it was HOT when it came out. So, besides the wait (hence 1 star off), this place is pretty good I have to say.

  • Sume J.

The absolute WORST service I could possibly imagine. Servers were rude, did not speak English, and were inhospitable. The service we experienced was horrible. Will never dine here again!

    (1)
  • Krzysztof S.

I've went there on few occasions during my lunch. Place is not very big...maybe enough room for 30 or so people. Must be a family run restaurant. There is a language barrier so be prepared to point and use your hands when you speak. Other than that service is just, OK. I had their Mongolian Beef as well as Thai Crazy Noodles. Both tasty, but nothing special. Freshly prepared. The one star is for their Thai Iced Coffee. I had that at other Thai restaurants but this one is super strong. Be prepared for a jolt! Pricing is average and so is the decor. Yet another Thai place.

SUCKS! WARNING DO NOT GO HERE! After about 10 minutes got up and left. My parents wanted to try a new Thai place, so we decided to give this place a try. When we got there the place was pretty much dead with the exception of one couple. The waiter/hostess was not very welcoming, didn't seem so interested that he actually had customers. After browsing the menu we were ready to order drinks and appetizers so my dad calls the waiter over. I'm pretty sure I saw him roll his eyes. He appeared upset that he had to actually move out from behind the counter to take our order; WTF, that's your job buddy. After ordering our drinks and apps we realized we wanted to try another thing on the menu. My dad walks over to the counter to ask the man if he can add another appetizer. You'd think someone would be happy to add another order to increase the customer's check. Get this: the waiter rudely yells "only take order at the table." I here this and I'm like WTF--this dude has no manners or customer service at all. What kind of business are they running and how are they still open??? I tell my parents this dude's a jerk and we need to leave asap. My mom was hesitant to leave, but I made her get up. So the jackass could hear how upset I was I yell out to my parents how terrible the service is here and that we should go to Siam's House--the Thai restaurant we normally go to. I've never been so pissed off at a restaurant till I came to Rosded Too.

I agree w Steve. Excellent food, service leaves more to be desired. Extensive menu. Use a restaurant.com or groupon, because with a group the tab can get a bit pricey.

    (3)
  • Katherine M.

I went here because of a Groupon, but will be back even without! The prices are good, and you get a lot of food. We tried the panang curry- one of the best I've had. The other dishes we tried were good, too, plenty of vegetables which I like. The service was very friendly and helpful describing each entree I was interested in- will go back to try others! It is a small restaurant with a tv playing (not really my style) but the tasty food didn't let any of those distractions get in the way.

First of all, after reading the positive reviews, im damn sure that the people that wrote the reviews are friends of those who own the restaurant, especially for those who give good reviews on ther service at the restaurant. What a bunch of liars!! Food was average (watered down thai food), service was horrible. I will not be back to this s*** hole solely because of the service. Just like most of the previous reviews, the waitress/host doesn't pay attention to the guests and was rude the entire time. When we paid for the food, we decided not to leave tip for the waitress, and she ACTUALLY made her way out to follow us to the car to ask if we're unsatisfied because she saw that we didn't tip her.. and made a comment that we should have tipped. Are you kidding me? I told her to be nice and then maybe she will actually get some business here. Will not be going back and strongly discourage anyone else from giving them any business. There is a thai restaurant across the street with excellent service and amazing thai food - Sri Siam. Take your business there people. These people need a class on how to run a restaurant.

    (1)
  • Mark M.

Food is excellent, menu is extensive, and the portions are fairly large for the price. However, the service can be lacking on busy nights as the wait staff clearly is not capable handling it (when taking orders, they rushed people, seemed very stressed out, and brought food to the wrong tables). Overall, I would recommend visiting them (off peak hours), and trying one of their boxed dinners (similar to bento boxes). BTW- the Vietnamese spring rolls do not have any fennel in them whatsoever. They basically have a spring roll wrapper, with LOTS of fresh basil in side, and one or two pieces of shrimp. Keep in mind that they are BYOB when planning on having alcohol. Also, if you have small children, note that they do not serve milk, and the buckles on the high chairs are broken.

Stopped in for dinner with friends and walked out after being ignored by waitresses...found another Thai place 1 min away Sri Siam. The moment we walked in, we were greeted and got my Thai ice tea in like a minute. Service was night and day.

I love the Rosded in Lincoln Square and when we moved further away, I was excited to have found another Rosded. It is not the same place. The food was absolutely bland, which is the opposite of Thai food in my opinion. Needless to say, never went back.

    (1)
  • Dave J.

The quality of the food and the service are in direct contrast with each other. The food was better than average. The service was atrocious. Note to management: Put a speaker in the restaurant, with some Thai-style music and a soothing woman's voice singing, in Thai, "Waitresses, focus on your table, get their orders right" over and over again. Our table was being served food ordered by other tables and their tables were getting our food. The restaurant wasn't even half full, and they still couldn't keep the orders straight. Our appetizer, Chicken Skewers, went to the table next to us, and they thought it was a complimentary appetizer as an apology for them having to wait so long for their entrees. We were served a rice dish that should have been served to the party three tables over. Once we got our food, it was very good. I ordered the Rama Noodles with Chicken. The peanut sauce was the highlight of the dish. Mrs. ordered Thai Basil Pork, which was flavorful and quite tasty. And the desserts were very good too...Mrs. had Thai Custard and I had the Banana Roll with Coconut Ice Cream. Staff changes need to be made, not in the kitchen, but in the dining room. They didn't seem happy to be there. They didn't seem to care about getting the orders right. And she brought us our check before asking if we wanted dessert...which is never good for either the restaurant or the customer. If you want some pretty tasty Thai food and don't mind the poor service, then go ahead and try Rosded Too. It's BYOB...I highly recommend bringing some beer, or booze, to help make the service a bit more tolerable. Might not help, though.

Our go-to neighborhood thai restaurant. Great food, large portions, cheap prices, byob, around the corner from us. Great combination. Whether it's a large party or just the wife and I, we always have a good meal. We usually order some combination of pad thai, pad kee mao , lime chicken, and green curry. All good. We've also had some of their fish dishes and they were really good too. I've read that some of the others have had some bad service. You might have to wait for awhile when it gets really busy, but that's rare. Our favorite thai place in the area. Give them a try if you're in the area.

The food here is REALLY GOOD and thats what keeps me coming back. HOWEVER, even though I am the most patient and calm person I know, this place really presses my buttons. The waitress is soooo slow and food takes forever. Even if you are there during your lunch break, it will be close to if not over an hour lunch. I get so impatient that I actually have to go up to the front and be like 'hey wheres my food?' Then it comes in 2 mintues. Not only that, but do not make the mistake of ordering an appetizer cuz that came with my meal so it was pretty pointless. I have gone here many many times for many years and its the same story. Fortunately, the food is so awesome that it keeps me going back. I just wish they'd speed up the process!

For american thai food, their lunch specials are a great value. Service is friendly and fast. Try a bento box or some noodles. We love the rama noodles in peanut sauce and the spicy crazy noodles full of veggies and flavor. The server in the evening was super nice and friendly even though we walked in shortly before closing. However, the lunch server seemed like she was having a bad day, no smiles except on rare occasion and lacking in customer service awareness, but everyone is entitled to a bad day and she didn't ruin ours. One thing I need to mention is the saltiness. This is a common problem in thai restaurants and this is no exception. I think this place is very good for thai in the burbs but that is hardly a complement. Without breaking the bank they can tighten up many dishes and add a few condiments or edible additions. But for the price of the lunch special, I will so be back.

We've decided to stop by this restaurant judging by the fair amount of cars parked outside the establishment. We ordered Pad Thai to start and it took 30 min or longer for our order to be served. Sad to say, the food is not even worth the wait. The waitress wasn't at all concerned when I said the food wasn't ok. I've been to enough Thai restaurant to understand what Pad Thai should taste like. If they can't make good Pad Thai, the basic Thai dish, they shouldn't in this business.

  • M J.

Went with family last night. Vegetable fried rice - not that tasty. Eggrolls - good. Panang curry - awful. There were 3 Panang Curries listed. One said Panang Green and the other Panang Red, or something like that. Both of them included coconut milk in their description. The 3rd just sayd Panang Curry and ingredients said curry paste (at other Thai places they include coconut milk). We asked the waitress if it included coconut milk because it wasn't mentioned on the menu.. She said YES (Language barrier bomb)so we said, ok we'll take 2. It came out pasty and more veggies than the paste. My son and I usually pour the curry on to our Pad See Iew and fried rice and it tastes delish! But I couldn't take the paste. The chicken pad see iew noodles were excellent though. Came here because of an Amazon version of a groupon and also because we've been to the 1st Rosded location on Leland and Western. Very disappointed :(

Yikes...this place is just a complete mess...Just horrible, slow service. It took them almost an hour to bring out our soup. Crab rangoons are one of the only decent items on this menu. How this place is still around, I have no idea..The chicken in all of the dishes had this weird texture that belonged in fast food chicken nuggets. Will not return to this establishment.

First the bad(really bad) - during lunch or dinner rush, the service will be HORRIBLE. We have been there 5-6 times around 5 or 6pm and there service is the same - SLOW. There is only *one* person working in the dining room. He/she is responsible for taking order, serving food, cashier, answering phone, handle take out orders. I went there twice during dinner and both times I had to wait a really long time. It is really uncomfortable seeing the person starting to crack of all the pressure. He starts to be rude...I feel bad for the guy. Can't they just get ONE more person to help out???? The good. The food is good, nice portion and price is right. Food is fairly authentic and tasty. The unique thing is the bento box which allows you to taste multiple dishes at one time. I HOPE THE OWNER READ THIS. We like the restaurant but we are at the point where we can't handle the stress of eating there any more.....

Never crowded (how does it stay in business?), this is great place for affordable Thai food in a nice environment. Very friendly!

I don't normally write reviews about restaurants- but that is how excited I get every Saturday when I work near Rosded too! Best best Tom Yum soup I've EVER had- NEVER disappointed in any dish- potstickers are amazing steamed OR fried,,,Pad Woon Sen, Garlic and pepper, Tung Tag, Pad See Ew....amazing! I always do carry-out and they are sometimes hard to get ahold of around opening time but who CARES! Well worth the wait! LOVE!

Before Rosded Too came into existence, the same restaurant changed owners at least 3 times and used to be named Noodles Thai Cusine. The decor is still the same, casual and homey with some replicas of goddesses and artifacts from Thailand. I know Thai food borders on the sweet and sour end and sometimes Rosded Too dishes can be too sweet, notably the Pad Thai or Lard Nar. Noodles was a little better with the sauce and marinade compared to Rosded. Service was a little clumsy as well with the waiter spilling a few times and not getting our order right when we asked to have certain ingredients taken out due to food allergies.

Fairly new to Thai food, I almost always order pad thai, or something similar. So I'm not sure what happened on the day that I stumbled across '5 Star Chicken' on Rosded Too's menu, and impulsively ordered it (especially because there was minimal explanation about the dish). Nevertheless, yes, this is some 5-STAR chicken! I could not stop eating it. Pieces of chicken breast mixed with all of my favorite vegetables in a sauce that is out of this world. It was so good, I had to know what was in it.... and here it is: garlic, lime juice, chili paste, fish sauce, and sugar. Yes, I asked what was in it. I don't order anything else from Rosded anymore. Oh, and if you feel extremely lazy, or it's freezing out, they deliver!

despite the bad and slow service, we used to be regulars because the food was so good. but after yesterdays ARGUMENT with our waitress, we are officially done with rosded too. every time we came in, we felt like we were such a bother and god forbid they actually had to do their job. the wait staff is rude, clueless and has not one sense of customer service. yes the food was great but i wont pay money to treated like crap and borderline abused. avoid this restaurant and go to the rosded in chicago on leland st. same great food and menu and pleasant waitstaff!!

The only reason this place got a star at all is because of the great food! Me and my family became regulars here because of the great food! DESPITE THE WORST SERVICE AND EMPLOYEES EVER! Like i said earlier the food is great especially the fried catfish with sweet and spicy sauce, an all time favorite in our family. It tastes just like the original from the original Rosded location in Chicago. Other than the food the only plus is the location because its only about a 10 minute drive from home. Yes we were regulars but not because of the people there. The staff never made us feel like regulars! We were paying that place to treat us like crap! Almost everytime! You walk in the door the man rolls his eyes and dreads that we are there! You ask for something and they get mad and talk crap right in front of you! There are not that many tables in the restaurant, maybe about 10 small ones but they make it seem like theyre serving 100 tables because their system is so disorganized! Whereas the Chicago location has only about 4 or 5 tables and have the friendliest and quickest service! Yet we still gave them the benefit of the doubt and continuously eat thereand leave them the right about of tip if not even more! Which they dont deserve! According to one of the waiters there, they remember who supposedly gives the right amount of tip and who doesn't and that how they determine how to treat their customers! There obviously must be a reason why you might have gotten a bad tip! Get the right attitude and serve right and just maybe you might get a good and decent tip from people! And after a little incident that went on there recently, with the waiter/waitress being so rude and naive, Id rather take the 30 minute drive to the Chicago location for 100% better service and actually enjoy my dining experience! All in all DONT GO HERE whether its a 2 min drive or not! You will leave her angry and frustrated!

Got a couple of different dishes including a seafood stirred fried with veggies in a light curry sauce. It was good like other thai restaurants. Place is kind of tucked away. Could use a little update here and there not much ambiance to speak of. Nice attentive service run by a family.

For the cost of the dishes, the quality left much to be desired. We ordered a variety of dishes to truly sample the menu; however, we found ourselves thoroughly disappointed. The Duck curry had very little duck, and that which was provided was very poor quality; the duck simply wasn't fresh. The dumplings were tepid in temperature and nothing special but a little shy of $1 per dumpling. The mixed seafood platter had insufficient seafood, which was still of poor quality. The vegetables were over cooked, and only the bamboo shoots held life. Finally, the most traditional dish at a Thai restaurant, Pad Thai, was amazingly still below par. The dish was over done with too much oil to the extent that the noodles were screaming, "we've had enough." Although presenting the right flavors, this is not a venue for those who have had good Thai dishes.

[update] Went back to try other food. We tried Khanom Buang Yuan, Chive Dumplings, Wide Pad Thai, and Duck Curry. SUPER YUM! I really enjoyed the chive dumplings (which was pan-seared and came with a sweet soy sauce for dipping) and duck curry (which was sweet and great with rice!! wish there was more lychee though). My lunchmates enjoyed the Khanom Buang Yuan, a Thai crepe stuffed with shredded coconut, shrimp, bean sprouts, and tofu served with cucumber salad. It had a lot of bean sprouts, but would have been better if it had more shrimp. The wide pad thai was great too and had the same wide noodles that are in the pad see eiw. I'm starting to like Rosded Too a lot more! [/end update] Rosded Too is such a cute mom and pop-type restaurant. I returned with my boyfriend to try their lunch special around 1pm today. We must have missed the lunch rush hour as it was pretty empty with the exception of one other patron dining there. As mentioned in other reviews, their $6.95 lunch special includes their daily soup, appetizer, and entree. Their daily soup today was the tofu with vegetables. I chose the fried shu mai as my appetizer and pad see eiw for the entree. All were simply delightful. The presentation of the appetizer was cute! The shu mai came in small square plates with an area sectioned off where they put sweet chili dip. The shu mai was bite sized and tasted great both with the sweet chili sauce and without it. The pad see eiw was served with a generous mix of beef (you can choose other meat if you wanted), broccoli, and egg and pepper already on it. I still added the chili paste that was on the table as I do like my food a little bit more spicy too. The pad see eiw was delicious on its own and with the extra spice from the chili paste. The portions were just right for lunch. Even with that said, I still took home some of my pad see eiw. I felt satisfied, without feeling overstuffed. I also tried their homemade coconut ice cream for dessert. There were two scoops of ice cream with crumbled chocolate on top (that tasted like butterfinger) and chocolate syrup drizzled across the ice cream in a decorative fashion. It was visually appealing and, though this kind of sounds like a weird combination, it was tasty! I was impressed by their wide selection of entrees. They had over 100 items listed on the menu. I will definitely have to go back and try more of their entrees. Rosded Too had a homely, small-town feel. Our waiter was also the host that sat people and he was the dessert chef as well. He was the artist behind the beautifully presented ice cream creation I described above. He was very nice as well and paid attention to our needs refilling the water when we needed it. He even anticipated that I would need chopsticks and even brought them without me asking! He also showed me and my boyfriend the take-out menu because we had originally inquired about the takeout menu before deciding to dine in instead. The waiter presented us with lots of meal choices and explained our options (combination (bento-style) box vs. regular entrees, vs. lunch special). That's great service! I hope they do have more wait staff to accommodate more customers during busy hours. The chef seemed to be an older woman who seemed really nice adding to the homely, mom-and-pop feel of this restaurant. Though it is a small restaurant, they did not sacrifice quality. Everything seemed clean. The hot sauces and spices were presented on the table in cute decorated jars on a mini lazy susan. This is in addition to the granite tabletops mentioned in my previous review of Rosded Too. I had a great experience at Rosded Too. It was such a shame that that they did not have more patrons dining at their establishment. For now, Rosded Too gets 4 stars from me. Great job, Rosded Too.

Me and hubby had a taste for Thai food and decided to try out this place because of all of the positive reviews. All I can say is that this was the worst Thai food I've ever had. Maybe they were having a bad night or had a bad cook but It was absolutely terrible!!! I had the Lard Nar which was very bland and tasted of fish broth. The appetizer sampler was cold and heavily fried. My husband had the Pad See Eu which he ate (his palate isn't as sophisticated as mine..lol) but when I tasted it was still lacking something. I might try them again just to give them the benefit of the doubt. But definitely when I want takeout, I will stay in the neighborhood and order Thai Pavilion or Ruby of Siam. Their food is so much better.

I love this place! It's definitely not a place to go to for its atmosphere or service, but if you are looking for a place with good thai food at an appealing price, this is it. I suggest going with a few people so you can order multiple dishes to try. The duck curry is delicious, with a generous amount of duck, vegetables, lychee, and pineapple in a perfectly seasoned and slightly spicy red curry. The pad see eiw is also very good, though sometimes it can be on the salty side. And go for the lunch special! It's a great deal and you get to sample different things.

I only know this place beacuse of its old restuaunt in chicago... and my mom knew the owners and found out they opened one in morton grove by our resturaunt which was located in skokie which was about 5 minutes away from each other. the food there in my opinion was Ok but i think they focus more on how the plate looks then how the food really taste but i recommend the one in chicago more then this one...

Roseded Too in Morton Grove stands out amongst the sea of Thai restaurants for staying true to Thai cuisine with the balance of flavors of salty, spicy, and sweet. Roseded has a variety of dishes that you don't find often such as mussels omelette (hoi taud), Bangkok river noodles (guadeaw rua), and the Thai version of a Vietnamese crepe (khanom buang yuan). All three of these dishes are time consuming which is why most restaurants won't make them. The number one dish that you must get is the spicy catfish stir fried in red curry paste (pla dook pad ped). What makes this dish so special is that the red curry paste is made from scratch in house. Since most restaurants use the canned paste, the flavor is much more intense and robust when made by hand and it makes all the difference. This hole in the wall is easy to miss and the food may take some time to prepare but this is a must try if you are seeking out the true authentic Thai experience.

Reasonably priced. Peanut sauce was okay. Vietnamese rolls weren't my favorite but just wanted to try something different. I had the Thai Crazy Noodle which was good but unfortunately a little burned which may have compromised the actual taste of the entree. Not the best Thai I've had but not bad at all. Clean environment. Looks fairly new inside. Outside looks like a Thai joint. Egg noodle pad Thai was delicious.

On first thought, this place looks totally sketch when you pull up. The inside is chill, nothing fancy, not run down. The food was pretty damn good, a bit heavy on the oil but hey it's thai. We got some pad woon sen and rama noodles. The rama noodles are definitely heavy but its freaking great, especially if you're a peanut sauce kinda guy/gal. I must say that this was one of the first times where the strips of chicken in my dish were NOT over cooked and were actually cooked perfect and maintained tender juicy-ness. My pad woon sen was pretty damn good too. We also shared the sample platter which was pretty good. The chicken satay was freaking delicious and again cooked perfectly. The shrimp in a blanket was definitely a first for me but great for anyone who like shrimp, i liked it plenty. the shu mai was really good too. This place didn't blow me out of the water but if i'm in the area and craving Thai, it's definitely on my list. Seriously, don't let the sketch look outside throw you off, go check it out and yelp it.

We have been to most of the thai restaurants in the area. This is easily in our top three. The food is incredibly tasty and the menu is extensive. It looks like they do a great deal of business as carry out and delivery.

I generally love Thai food, and I have tried in a lot of different places located nearby. This place is special. All of the dishes we tried were amazing and very authentic. I know my Thai food. I have tried wide padtai, regular padtai, pad see eiw, and other rice dishes. I would like to give 5 stars for food, but a star deduction is due to the staff, who I had to wave down to get her attention. Otherwise, everything was alright. Still, this is my favorite Thai restaurant.

Nice quiet place for a weekday dinner. We had: - peanut sauce spring rolls - crispy pancake mussels - panang curry beef The panang curry beef was our favorite and I may go with that curry now in deference over my old favorite green curry for a while. The peanut sauce on the spring rolls was a bit watered down. The mussel pancake was ok, but a lot of fried dough. They apparently have had a new chef in the past year, and the servings are decent. Headsup: No longer BYOB here!

Pro: -close proximity to my house to get a quick bite. Cons: -Bad value for the money. -Sloppy and unimaginative. I recently visited this place with a Restaurant.com coupon, and simply, I would not visit this place without a coupon, or ever for that matter until they have a new makeover. This place badly needs a Restaurant Impossible-style intervention. I had a Pad Talay, and this dish was borderline criminal about how bad it was. If you're going to advertise "crabs," have some semblance of crabs and not IMITATION crabs. BIG NO-NO. Also, for a full-price dish, I had less than some place's lunch special. Only one piece of scallop? Please. There was no one in the restaurant but me early afternoon and it took 15 minutes to get a smoothie and close to 40 minutes to get the said dish above. Not looking good. Sad.

I would give more stars for the food alone! My mother and grandmother live in Morton Grove, so I come here often. In fact, I'm the current Duchess so I felt obligated to write a review. The owners of this place used to also own Rosded in Ravenswood/Lincoln Square, but have since sold it. I love the food at Rosded. As other reviewers mentioned, they have an extensive menu, and the food is authentic. However, it is not always consistent. They have several cooks here, so it does depend on who you get. In general though I am satisfied with the food. It's never been bad. My favorites are the beef boat noodles, the tom yum noodle soup, the pad see ewe, and the basil anything. I also love their Thai iced tea and desserts. The servers and owners know me and my family since we have went to the other location and now come here all the time. Even so, our service is spotty. It's almost worst because they know we will still come back. We've told the owners about the poor service, but it seems that they are hesitant to remove the problem due to sympathy. She's really a sweetheart, but just so slow and forgetful. She gets our order wrong all the time even though we order in Thai because she won't write it down. I can't imagine what happens to the English orders. I feel terrible but if they don't fix the service issues I don't know how they will make in this market.

The food here is actually pretty good. The service, however, is extremely slow. You should either have extreme patience or avoid it altogether. Last time I was here, we managed to get decent service because I spoke what little Thai I knew and made a good impression on the owner. I shudder to think what would've happened if I hadn't bothered. The menu is pretty extensive. This is one of the few Thai restuarants that serves boat noodles and kao mok gai, so I'll give it a slide.

I went to this place with my mom on July 10th 2015. I was very disappointed by the customer service. I would like to acknowledge that I love their food. That's why we go there, but otherwise, I would never go there. Today, I preordered food to dine-in as soon as we got there because we were placed in a very busy situation. I called them and ordered what I wanted & I asked them if they could have it ready by 4:50, and they said that they would be ready. My mom and I arrived there at 4:55, and we waited there for the whole 20 minutes patiently. We realized that we have wasted so much time. We walked up to the counter to pay because we didn't have time. Then we figured out that they've not even placed the order when I called. They placed the order once we arrived. How ridiculous?! I clearly told them that we were busy. We asked why didn't they, and they told us that they don't trust people. They were afraid that we were not going to come! I would like to advise people not to order any Togo or preorder food at this place. They won't trust you. They won't prepare food for you because they're not sure that people might not pick it up. How would they do business with "people" when they are not trusting people? The part that we are really mad about is that THEY WERE MAD AT US. THEY YELLED AT US, SWEARED AT US IN SOME OTHER LANGUAGE(they can't speak english Well & I know when people are looking at u with disgust and hate), AND NEVER EVEN APOLOGIZED. Everything was their fault. They said they would prepare food but didn't, yelled at us, food came out late, and our schedule became extremely complex. When we paid with cash, the waitress gave us back our change and DELIBERATELY LEFT OUT THE $5 so that it would go to her tip because we were sitting at the table served by nothing, just a 2 cup of glass. I know $5 doesn't mean anything, but this is a criminal offense. We didn't want to leave a tip anyway because (1) we didn't eat there and (2) we were extremely infuriated with the service. They deal so falsely with customer, and we purposely paid with cash because we were afraid that they may just put in some tips without our permission. Of course we could sue them if they did it, but we didn't have time to check nor to deal with. I'm telling you. The food is okay, but this place don't keep their promise and are very untrustworthy. If I didn't have my groupon left, I wouldn't ever go there even if the food is okay, but unfortunately, I have 2 groupon I still need to use. I feel so horrible and disgusted. Even giving 1 star makes me feel generous.

Worst service ever!! The waitress rolled her eyes so many times because I reminded her twice for a coke. Apparently they like to serve soup without bowls. Apparently asking for extra rice is likened to asking for the server's kidney. My mom, daughter and I were the only customers at 11:45 in the morning, we were barely acknowledged and made to wait to order for no reason. The server didn't even acknowledge my 3 yr old sitting at the table. Apparently 3yr olds are not allowed a cup of water or a plate and silverware. I just don't understand, why advertise all over- groupon or living social if its apparent you hate being in the food industry.

I hate to do this to a local restaurant, but when a manager refuses to listen to gentle, constructive criticism and instead tells me, "Honestly, if you think the service was that bad, don't come back." Don't worry. We won't come back. EVER. Rosded Too forgot one of our orders, didn't refill water, and had the nerve to pre-charge tip and ask for more. One waitress tried to explain that they were busy. Yeah, too busy to let us know that they either forgot our order or somehow messed it up. Too busy to refill our water. Too busy to apologize. Not cool. We were willing to ignore the fact that our appetizer and 2 of our 3 main dishes came at exactly the same time. We used to overlook the occasional rude waiter and constant slow service here, but not anymore. We will drive past this place to go to another restaurant that respects their customers and values our dollars.

I absolutely love this place for take out. I almost never leave the restaurant without far too much food because the menu is so assorted. My very first experience with the young woman taking my order was very pleasant. She had a great sense of humor and I enjoyed speaking with her. The food is very good. My particular favorite is the MeeCrob but I haven't come across a dish I haven't liked, yet. I have been here approximately four times now. I use Grubhub to place my order and only once was I forced to wait, usually my order is ready right away.

I have never ever been disappointed wiith this place. The soups are fantastic and they have great lunch specials. I have gotten so many of my friends hooked on this place. You have to try the Lime Shrimp, order it for a appetizer (to much to eat as a entree) with a friend. Order it as soon as you sit down because they make it to order, the shrimp is fresh. The decor is blah but the food is WOW!

The food here is great. I looked everywhere for a Thai place that has Curry Puffs on the menu. And their Panang Curry is spicy and flavorful in all the right ways, I thoroughly recommend it. Everything is fresh and delicious every time we order from Rosded. There isn't a lot of food for the price, but we have only ever ordered delivery, so maybe it is different if you eat in. The delivery time is pretty long, usually over an hour, but they tell you that when you order so it wasn't unexpected.

We came in on Saturday hoping it would not be busy at 6pm. Boy we were wrong. The waitress is beyond rude. We got tofu soup, panang curry, and Thai curry noodles. The soup was bland. Only reason this place gets 3 stars is because the panang curry was delicious. Probably will never return.

It's probably a good thing I did not read Valerie's review before coming here... because I'd otherwise run! I also came for the lunch special. The interior of the restaurant looked a bit trashed with tapped together chairs and bored wait staff watching Jeopardy on the television. So how did they still end up with three stars? The food was cheap and good. Apparently they also have a Groupon but you cannot use it with the lunch special FYI. The lunch special was about $6 and came with soup, your choice of an appetizer and an entrée. Lunch specials can be ordered until three (that's how we ended up here). The soup was Chinese hot and sour which I devoured. I ordered the Crab Rangoon which were super greasy.. it spilled out when I took a bit. The Pad See Eiw was good. I also ordered a hot tea which I thought was over priced at $2 for a tea bag.

This is our go to thai place! The food is consistent and delicious! We always have to get the pad see eiw, it is by far the best tasting pad see eiw I have ever had. Their potstickers, yellow curry, pad thai, and fried rice are all very good too. The cookie dough roll is to die for, quite dangerous and unhealthy but so delicious! I am not the biggest fan of their spring rolls because they do not taste as fresh, but the other items on their menu are so good I don't mind. I will say that their service in the restaurant is pretty awful, but it is because typically one woman is running the restaurant juggling between people who are eating in and the many take out orders that occur. If you are able to look past the service or maybe order take out, you will definitely be pleased with the food!

I had a business meeting here last week and had an average experience. From the outside, the place looks run down. From the inside, the place is run down. The thing is, there are many places out there that are run down, but still offer up some delicious eats so I didn't fret much about it. We ordered the fried oyster pancake, the pork balls, and the beef salad. We brought our own beers and wanted to munch on some appetizers so we didn't order any entrees. The server was an older lady and she was pleasant and not too intrusive. I didn't see any other servers in there so I don't know how it would have been if the place actually had more than two tables to serve. The food we ordered was alright. The fried oyster pancake was mostly fried dough. Out of the ten or so oily bites I had, only one had a piece of oyster in it. Now, I've lived in Thailand and have tried fried oyster pancakes numerous times there, and it was always oily, but they also had oyster in almost every bite. Not sure if they ran out of oysters or whatnot, but I probably wouldn't order that again here. The pork balls on a stick were decent, but nothing really special. The beef salad, on the other hand, was pretty tasty. Nothing about this place really strikes me as deserving a 4 star rating, but at the same time, I know how much a low Yelp rating can affect a small family business. They seem to be trying their best and I would like to see them blossom. I will probably try this place out again later in the future and edit my review accordingly when the time comes.

This is our favorite thai restaurant and we have been coming here for years. Their food is really good. We usually order their tempura, pad thai and panang curry (chicken, beef, or fish). The tempura is lightly battered and fried to perfection. The vegetables and shrimp are perfectly cooked. Their pad thai is best, they are not cheap when putting chicken, beef, or pork. But the panang curry is our absolute favorite. I love that we can choose how spicy to make it. The taste and quality of the food is always consistent. The servers are also pleasant, the old lady who works there is very friendly. Anytime we try a new dish, we are not disappointed. Oh, how could I forget their thai iced tea? Yeah, that's good too.

My brother had a restaurant.com coupon so we ended up here because they were on the list of places that accept the coupon. Most of the reviews mention the slow service here. They aren't kidding. The day we went, we were the only ones dining in but were given very little attention. The two ladies behind the counter were fixated on a Thai tv show the entire time and only came over during commercial breaks. Luckily the food was good. Crab rangoon was smaller than most places but I actually tasted crab in Rosdeds version, which was a nice surprise. Same goes for the crab fried rice. It didn't have a faint crab flavor like some other places but instead the crab taste was bold and unmistakable. It wouldn't have thought to order it myself but my brother has had it before and I enjoyed it a lot. The lime chicken was just ok. I really dislike the goopy sauce that always seems to come with lime chicken everywhere. Why do people like it?? Spicy basil chicken (what I usually order at a Thai restaurant) was very good but not very spicy even though I asked for it hot. I've been told by Thai friends that when I want something spicy, I should order it "Thai spicy/hot". I might try that next time. If lackadaisical service bothers you, I suggest ordering take out. But the food here is good and worth trying

The food here was horrible. I had something simple: green curry. It came out swimming in a pool of oil. I have never had it look like that before. The taste was terrible due to the oil, completely inedible. Plus, the service is really slow, to the point that the servers don't even care. Never coming back.

BE AWARE!!!! what they write in their menu prices is not what they charge. A simple item of a small amount went too far with this restaurant. Then when I pointed it out they told me that 'prices are subject to change and that they will charge any amount they feel like!!! never going back and the food wasn't that great either.

Rosded Too is one of those unassuming "hole in the wall" type joints from the outside, but a pleasant surprise on the inside. This place is one of my favorite guilty pleasures in the 'burbs. Like a well kept secret only you and a few other select cool people know about. The food is traditional Thai fare with a menu seemingly a mile long (truthfully it's all the same stuff just rearranged... some noodles here, a little rice there and loads of veggies and your choice of meat or seafood). But it's *always* delicious and worth the trip. I always order the cashew chicken, not because I'm a boring creature of habit, but because it's amazing. But I've had other dishes including their rama noodles with peanut sauce, spring rolls, pot stickers, and curry puffs -- which were delicious but cold in the middle the one time I had them :o( The interior recently underwent a remodel in the last year or two, so they have new chairs and nice granite tabletops. They have great new light fixtures, background music (pretty sure it's lite FM -- niiice) and two HD TV's going at two opposite ends of the restaurant. I've caught myself spacing out of conversation with a friend and watching Wipeout a time or two... don't judge me. My biggest beef (and it really isn't that big) is the waiting time. I've been here on countless occasions, so I know it isn't just a one shot deal... from the time we order our food to when we actually get it is around 30-45 minutes. And yes, that is a LONG time to wait. But in my opinion, it's worth it. It's difficult to find a decent (if not great) Thai place in the 'burbs that doesn't gauge my pocket, has great food, is BYOB and leaves me satisfied 100% of the time. So to me, it's a-okay. But if you're extremely hungry and/or in a hurry, I would recommend going elsewhere for a quick, but less gratifying, fix.

Best thai food you can get on the north side. They have a Thai menu and English menu. Service Is courtious. Sometimes it takes a little while to get your food when it is busy. The Thai custard is incredible. Sweet sticky rice with Mango is so delicious but seasonal! Way better than Sri Siam. Food is as close to Thailand as you can get, I should know, I have travelled there several times.

I really want to give Rosded too a better rating, but with this latest visit there, I just can't... this place is one of our regular Thai places too. we used to always go to Rosded in Lincoln Square, but this place is much closer to us out in the burbs. so we started going here instead and the first few times it's been pretty decent, but the last couple of times we've been there, it's been sorely lacking. the food was "meh" and the service was not so great, but generally that's expected since it's only one waitress for the entire room. the menu is definitely not the same as the original Rosded, and they are confused if you try and order menu items that they have at the other location. with the hot and cold quality level of the food, I'm not sure if I want to go back here, but I will be since I recently just bought a groupon to this place... you guys get one more shot!

The pad thai here was the worst pad thai I've ever had. It had absolutely no flavor. I had to add soy sauce to have any kind of flavor. I'm only giving 2 stars because the service was decent and the portion size was generous.

So I'd originally bookmarked this restaurant more than a year ago. At that time what I had heard was that it was a "hole in the wall" Thai restaurant in Morton Grove and it was worthy of my money. Also per Yelp they were averaging 4 stars solid. Today after Groupon and Restaurant.com deals they are averaging far less, try 2.5 stars. Most of their issues tend to revolve around service and I can confirm that. We stopped in shortly after 2 pm. Our special deal was on menu entrees only. There were three tables full when we entered but only one table left by the time our entrees were chosen and ordered. My folks had just visited the hospital nearby and after being in sessions most of the day, were quite hungry by the time we got here. The appetizer arrived within fifteen minutes. Something very simple, Rosded Meatballs served on leaves of lettuce covered in a sweet and sour sauce. The texture of the meatballs were like gelatin, I wouldn't be surprised if these came out of a Tupperware container. The other table was already served, yet, it took a solid forty minutes before our main entrees hit the table. A few entrees were chosen. Pad Talay a seafood dish, Thai crazy noodles with beef and red curry with chicken. We ordered everything extra spicy and spicy it was. I had a serious sweat going on from my scalp to my neck. Portions were okay for the pricing and tastes were nice. There were a few hangups however. First, why did the food take so long for preparation? Second, service was not great. She came back to refill glasses but wasn't more available for other orders. Had she come back to the table more often, we would have ordered other drinks, dessert and a mango smoothie. Last, teas are offered in a big mug for a stiff $3 dollars. A tea bag in a cup. For $3 dollars they could offer a kettle of tea. The inside is decked out in bright colors and Thai decor. The sign out front is written in both English and Thai. The restaurant has it's own private lot however it looks junky out there. As I was explaining to my folks when pulling out, one reason I've never stopped in sooner was because the exterior looked so dated. If they don't care enough about the outside, I wonder what could be neglected on the inside. One and done.

Ordered chicken pad se ewe and soft shell crab spring rolls for lunch. Everything had good flavor, but something made my tummy very very sad afterward. That makes ME very very sad, because everything was actually really tasty and tasted like it should, and the portions were huge, but I had to pitch them, I didn't even want to put them in the fridge to relive later.

We purchased a groupon for this place and were new to Morton Grove, so we thought we would give it a try. While the food wasnt TERRIBLE, it wasnt that great either. It was just mediocore thai food, kind of on the bland side. I had much higher expectations. Its been a year, and have had no desire to return since.

Not too impressed with Rosded on this visit. The waitress took down our appetizer order of the special Vietnamese roll, even repeating it, but the regular roll was brought out, and she didn't admit her mistake. Otherwise, the $10.95 dinner box deal is a great value for the food you get. It comes with rice, salad, and dessert. Note they're on restaurant.com and now OpenTable too!

I love their food. Especially the wide rice noodle Pad Thai dish. The main issue is that there is usually only one server or hostess on the floor at at a time. It's not a large restaurant, but still one person can only do so much. It can take some time to get orders in, and the check, but if you are not in a rush it isn't too bad. Also it is not clear when they serve bubble tea. It's on their menu, but sometimes they say it is only available certain times that are not specified in the menu.

The food started off great, along with the waitress suzii being very friendly. But the waitress really made our experience unacceptably inhospitable at the end. when she was bringing out the check, I asked her if I could apply my groupons. She rudely replied that no only one groupon. Her tone was very harsh and unacceptable. I would have been alright if she said it politely. Great food, horrible customer service. I don't think it's worth a trip back.
